The Comfort Project allows us to make our efforts for change A REALITY!
This time, Nexus Energy Center and our partners succeeded in making an impact in the life AND COMFORT of Mrs Goan!
Turning her 1730 sq ft HOME, built in 1964, into a highly energy sufficient and less expensive home to heat and cool. YES, IT’S A CHALLENGE. But nothing is impossible WHEN YOU HAVE THE RIGHT PEOPLE DOING THE JOB.

We MADE HUGE DIFFERENCES IN SMALL, but very efficient measures.
? We installed attic insulation to meet code at R-38. THAT’S ABOUT 12INCHES ON INSULATION (chad is this right?)
? Also a water vapor was installed.
? The air infiltration was reduced by sealing penetrations or openings in the crawl space.
? Then we installed new weather stripping on the exterior doors.

Thanks to all these energy measures, Mrs Goan managed huge electric utility savings.
From December until March she had savings from 4% to 16%! A very impressive amount if one considers the size and age of the house.
