AlabamaWISE happy beneficiaries!
Keith and Edie Lowhorne are enjoying a warm home in northeast Madison County thanks to the AlabamaWISE program from Nexus Energy Center.
When Keith first came to Nexus Energy Center, he was super skeptical about home energy improvements and their effect on utility bills. And it is understandable.
But, after a lot of thought he decided to take the first step and give it a chance. So he did a few important measures after getting an energy audit:
- encapsulated the crawlspace,
- sealed penetrations in this bathroom
- put foam board on his attic knee walls.
He has been pleasantly surprised at a 30%+ lower utility bill and a more comfortable house.
He is now looking into replacing his water heater because he is so impressed with the Nexus Energy Center, AlabamaWISE program.
