Want to Save Money on Your Utility Bill? This Non-profit Center Can Help

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama – Want to save money on your utility bills? A non-profit center based in Huntsville says a program that has helped 1,500 North Alabama homeowners is expanding statewide. The program is called Alabama Wise, and the center is the Nexus Energy Center.

Funded by state and federal grants, Nexus Energy works with homeowners in several ways, according to founder and Executive Director Ruchi Singhal. Its website, alabamawise.org, features articles on energy-saving topics including windows, lighting, insulation and air-sealing. Those articles are free.
