New Display at U.S. Space & Rocket Center Teaches People About Energy

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – There’s a new interactive display at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center, and it can teach us all a thing or two about energy.

Nexus Energy Center of Huntsville presented a new four-sided kiosk on Tuesday.  The display is designed to get everyone thinking about energy, including here it comes from, how to conserve it and the differences between conventional, renewable and green power.

The kiosk also includes a map that shows where and how power is being generated in Alabama.

“The last one is a really cool interactive screen that tells you what is your footprint? So it’ll ask you questions. How many miles do you drive? What kind of food do you eat? What kind of home do you have? And all of that plays a part in your footprint,” said Ruchi Singhal, Nexus Energy Center’s Executive Director.
