Nexus Seeks Help to Build Tiny Home for Energy Education

WHNT-News-19-logoNexus Energy Center is raising money to create a tiny home for energy education – to show people what an energy efficient house looks like.  They will build the plans given to them by Tumbleweed Tiny House company to show people the impact of different energy-efficient systems.  The tiny home will serve as a hands-on example of what people can put in their home to save energy.

Nexus has a program called Alabama WISE, which can evaluate a person’s home and show how they may be losing energy.  Nexus Energy Spokesperson Anne-Marie Whatley says that knowledge is valuable, “On average, people who go through our Alabama WISE program save 20% on their energy bill or more.”
