TRES Project – Showcasing How to Build an Energy Efficient Home

WAAY-31 News interviews Nexus’ Anne-Marie Whatley on the campaign for the TRES (Tiny, Renewable and Environmentally Sustainable) project.  The crowd funding effort is to build a tiny home which will show people what they can put into their house to save energy.

Nexus has partnered with U.S. Green Building Council of Alabama, Calhoun Community College, Huntsville Open Tech Coffee, and Home Depot to make this idea a reality.  The campaign to raise money for it started June 24, 2014 and will end August 3, 2014.  The tiny home is expected to be finished and shown at the Lucky Duck Days event on October 18 and 19, 2014 at the A.M. Booth’s Lumberyard, 108 Cleveland Ave., Huntsville, AL.
