Nexus Energy Center hosts special earth-friendly events, WHNT 19

Nexus Energy Center will be partnering with the U.S. Space & Rocket Center to host an event in observation of Earth Day, a day of appreciation and learning about the earth. Enjoy hands-on learning experiences about a variety of topics, from water conservation and composting to renewable energy sources and wildlife protection. This event will be April 2nd 9A-5P at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center. All of the Earth Day events will be included in the price of a regular museum admission.
This June, Nexus is also planning a farm-to-table dining event. “An Evening in the Cove” will feature a multi-course menu crafted from only the finest local ingredients, provided by community farmers and suppliers. Diners will enjoy a delicious meal created by local chef and restaurant owner, Margaret Baggett, all while learning about the importance of environmental sustainability. Margaret operates Hampton Cove’s very own The Chef Next Door, providing the community with delicious, freshly prepared southern fare.
