DESCRIPTION:This course is eligible for 3 hours Alabama CE. \nIn this course\, you will gain an understanding of Energy Efficiency as it relates to real estate transactions. Learn the importance of energy efficiency from a client’s perspective\, be introduced to the most frequently used energy related home certificates and labels\, and understand how home assets are related to these certificates and how they relate to housing values. \n\n\n\n\nAbout the Instructor: Ruchi Gupta Singhal\nRuchi Singhal founded and has served as Executive Director of Nexus Energy Center since 2009. Nexus Energy Center\, headquartered in Huntsville\, Alabama\, is positioned as the only non-profit organization to build a smart energy future for Alabama through education\, conservation\, efficiency and renewable generation. Nexus administers the AlabamaWISE (Worthwhile Investments Save Energy) Home Energy Program to help local homeowners take control of their energy costs. Ruchi’s goal is to create a sustainable energy economy for Alabama using her extensive clean energy background in technical assistance and outreach activities. \nRuchi worked closely with other non-profits and the Alabama Department of Community and Economic Affairs to win the initial funding for Nexus through the Department of Energy. Nexus Energy Center’s success in implementing projects on energy efficiency\, workforce development\, and renewable energy will make Alabama a premier location for energy solutions. To date\, Nexus’ AlabamaWISE program has upgraded over 3.5 million square feet of building space and saved in over 8 million kilowatt hours by helping over 1500 homeowners save 20% in energy. \n\n\nShare this:
